Polygel (also called acrylic gel) is a hybrid nail enhancement material that combines the strength of traditional acrylic nails with the flexibility and ease of use of UV gel.
What is Polygel?
- Composition: It is a premixed, putty-like paste that typically comes in a tube. It merges acrylic powder with a clear gel base, meaning you do not need to mix liquid monomer and powder yourself.
- Application: Squeeze a small bead onto the nail, shape it using a brush dipped in slip solution (or alcohol), and then cure it under a UV or LED lamp.
- Feel: It is lighter in weight and more flexible than standard acrylic, but stronger and more durable than regular gel polish.
