Description
FIBER GLASS FOR NAIL ENHANCEMENTS
Fiberglass strips are thin, mesh-like or cotton-like strands used to create lightweight, natural-looking nail extensions or repair broken natural nails.
What They Do
- Add Length: They serve as a custom base for building nail extensions without needing pre-glued plastic tips.
- Repair Tears: Salons use them to patch and strengthen weak, split, or broken natural nails.
- Provide Flexibility: They are thinner and more flexible than traditional acrylics while remaining durable.
How to Apply Them
- Prep: Clean, shape, and lightly buff your natural nails to remove surface shine.
- Apply Base: Paint a thin layer of a clear base coat or builder gel onto the nail.
- Place Strip: Cut the fiberglass extension strips to size and press them firmly into the wet gel.
- Cure and Build: Cure the layer under a UV or LED lamp, then apply a layer of builder gel over the fibers to harden the extension.
- Finish: File, shape, and buff the hardened nail, then finish with gel polish or a top coat
